BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 26. The Trans
Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) has transported a complete of 40 billion cubic
meters of fuel over the previous 4 years, Luca Schieppati, TAP’s
Managing Director, mentioned on the Italian Vitality Summit, Pattern stories.
“Over the previous 4 years, practically 40 billion cubic meters of fuel
have been transported by TAP, considerably enhancing Europe’s
vitality safety, diversification, and transition,” he mentioned.
The managing director identified that TAP is devoted to
increasing the pipeline’s capability whereas supporting a sustainable
vitality transition by integrating greener molecules and minimizing
our operational footprint.
TAP transports pure fuel from the large Shah Deniz discipline in
the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea to Europe. The 877 km
lengthy pipeline connects with the Trans Anatolian Pipeline (TANAP) at
the Turkish-Greek border in Kipoi, crosses Greece and Albania and
the Adriatic Sea, earlier than coming ashore in Southern Italy.
TAP facilitates fuel provides to Southeastern European nations
via current and potential interconnectors. TAP is related
to Interconnector Greece Bulgaria (IGB) which began its
industrial operations in October 2022, offering Caspian fuel to
Bulgaria.
TAP’s shareholding is comprised of bp (20%), SOCAR (20%), Snam
(20%), Fluxys (20%), Enagás (20%).
