A 4.8 magnitude earthquake struck New York Metropolis and surrounding areas on Friday.
The epicentre of the tremor was close to Lebanon, New Jersey, about 40 miles (64km) west of New York Metropolis.
It is the area’s most important earthquake in many years.
New York’s governor, Kathy Hochul, mentioned that infrastructure within the space was being reviewed.
Town’s mayor, Eric Adams, added: “We would not have any reviews of main impacts or accidents”.
